Royal Bardia National Park
In the western Terai, bordering the Geruwa(a branch of the karnali River), This 968 sq reserve is reminiscent in many ways of Royal Chitwan national park . The relative difficulty of access, however, means it is much less popular. But there is a higher likelihood of seeing a royal Bengal tiger.
The reserve is bordered on the north by chure Hills, but is predominantly flat and dominated by seal forests and grasslands. As well as tigers, there are blue bulls, a variety of deer a few wild elephants and a small herd of introduced rhinoceros. It you’re lucky you might also see Gangetic dolphins in the river.
